Join us for a Memorial Service for Republican District Leader Matthew Smith on Monday, November 23rd, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
The service will be held at the Brooklyn Bar Association, 123 Remsen Street, in Brooklyn Heights.
This service is an opportunity for Matt’s friends to come together and celebrate Matthew’s life, so we encourage you to bring a favorite memento or photo, or share a favorite story.
Matthew served as State Committeeman from the 46th Assembly District, and was a longtime employee at the New York City Board of Elections.
A respected Republican activist, Matthew moved to Bay Ridge from Kensington several years ago, and was long known as a petition dynamo, regularly collecting over 150 petition signatures every June.

Although- there were a couple of “District Leaders” conspicuously absent from the event. Maybe they were too busy working on an assembly campaign.
