Chairman Eaton re-elected by huge majority

by Uncle Abe on September 27, 2011

On the heels of his stunning success in electing Bob Turner to Congress, Brooklyn Republican Chairman Craig Eaton was elected to a third term by a vote of approximately 1,050 to 72.

The vote took place at the Convention of the Republican County Committee in Brooklyn’s Prospect Hall, with Delegates from each of the borough’s many neighborhoods.

“When I took office four years ago,” Eaton noted, “Senator Marty Golden was our only elected official, and I am delighted that we have since elected Nicole Malliotakis to the Assembly, Mike Grimm to Congress, and now Bob Turner to Congress.”

Eaton predicted that 2012 would be an exciting year for the Brooklyn Republican Party, culminating in the election of a Republican President.

Eaton was congratulated by his predecessor, former Chairman Hy Singer, and scores of Republican State Committee and County Committee members.
