The Brooklyn Republican Party offers its warmest congratulations to U.S. Senator-elect Scott Brown.
Senator Brown is the first Republican elected to the Senate from Massachusetts since 1972.
His central campaign theme was that this Senate seat belonged to the people, not any individual or party.
Brown’s campaign showed the power of the internet in galvanizing support from Republicans and Independents across the country, who donated to his campaign, downloaded phone lists to call, and even made trips to Massachusetts to campaign for him at their own expense.
